ATLAS / RESEARCH MANAGEMENT

A question is
a beginning.
Evidence gives it direction.

Atlas is being developed to connect participant communication, phone access, surveys, scheduling, compensation, fieldwork, evidence, and scholarly review in one purpose-built research environment.

Four central capabilities being developed

  • Integrated participant calling
  • Study messaging and surveys
  • Digital gift-card compensation
  • Mobile participant access

No studies, accounts, participant records, or research services are connected to this informational website.

Planned Atlas capabilities

Research is demanding. Managing it should be simpler.

Designed for research teams and participants · In development

Recruitment, contact attempts, schedules, surveys, incentives, and research records too often live in separate places. Atlas is being designed to connect the work while keeping consent, participant privacy, and study-specific permissions at the center.

01 / INTEGRATED TELEPHONE

Calls connected to the participant record.

The hurdle: disconnected calls, notes, and follow-ups.

Optional phone integration is planned for click-to-call, matching incoming calls to authorized participant records, call history, notes, and follow-up tasks. Recording would require appropriate consent and institutional approval.

Planned integration · No phone provider connected
02 / TARGETED COMMUNICATION

Reach one participant, a cohort, or a study.

The hurdle: scattered outreach and overlooked contact preferences.

Choose an individual, a defined group, or an entire authorized study for survey invitations, approved materials, scheduling notices, and reminders by email or text, subject to consent, contact preferences, and opt-out rules.

Planned workflow · No outreach service active
03 / COMPENSATION & INCENTIVES

Gift-card compensation with accountability.

The hurdle: separating participant eligibility, approval, and fulfillment.

Researchers identify eligible participants; authorized institutions approve and fund incentives. Atlas is designed to track digital gift-card status, receipts, exceptions, and reconciliation without requiring a particular card-network partner.

Planned workflow · No payments or cards issued
04 / PARTICIPANT EXPERIENCE

A mobile-first participant interface.

The hurdle: asking participants to navigate disconnected systems.

Participants could view approved study notices, consent choices, appointments, assigned surveys, and incentive status from a phone-friendly portal. Alternative access is planned for people without smartphones.

Planned portal · No participant accounts active

Beyond the administrative hurdles

From the first invitation to the final review.

Versioned study protocols, question banks, interview and focus-group guides, observation tools, consent and withdrawal controls, scheduling, fieldwork, coding, analytic memos, evidence provenance, research reviews, and authorized dissemination belong in a connected study workflow.

These planned functions build on Convera's existing research-system designs and prototypes. No participant records, calls, surveys, gift cards, or payments can be processed through this informational website.

One study. A connected experience.

From first contact to evidence that can be examined.

A participant's experience should not disappear between a telephone call, an appointment, a survey, and a compensation record. Atlas is designed to connect those moments without compromising consent or research independence.

  1. 01 / PREPARE

    Establish permission.

Check study eligibility, contact preferences, recruitment authorization, and consent status before engaging.

  2. 02 / CONNECT

    Keep context with contact.

Link permitted calls and messages with the authorized participant record, notes, and next steps.

  3. 03 / PARTICIPATE

    Make participation navigable.

Coordinate interview times, survey invitations, reminders, and a limited participant interface.

  4. 04 / RECOGNIZE

    Account for compensation.

Separate research eligibility from institutional approval, digital gift-card delivery, and reconciliation.

  5. 05 / EXAMINE

    Protect the integrity of evidence.

Maintain provenance and appropriate de-identification, with review of methods, findings, and uncertainty.

Why a dedicated Atlas platform?

These workflows carry study-specific consent, participant identity, and evidentiary obligations. WorkBench manages broader organizational work; access to WorkBench does not grant access to Atlas research records.

Illustrative product design only. Calling, messaging, surveys, participant accounts, incentive fulfillment, and research operations are not active on this website.

From question to accountable publication

One connected research lifecycle.

Planned capabilities — not active services

Conceptual module
05 / INTERPRET

Analysis & findings

Support qualitative and mixed-method analysis, comparison matrices, contrary evidence, and human-reviewed AI assistance.

Conceptual module
06 / ACCOUNT

Review & publication

Track scholarly review, limitations, attribution, revision, audit history, and authorized publication decisions.

Conceptual module

The research obligation

Confidence is earned through care.

Research depends not only on what is discovered, but on how questions are formed, evidence is treated, and people are protected throughout the process.

01

Safeguard participation

Consent and appropriate permissions must precede sensitive research access.

02

Keep an intellectual record

Separate emerging ideas and working propositions from substantiated findings.

03

Review before release

Document limitations, attribution, and review decisions before public communication.

Separate roles. Appropriate permissions.

The right access, for the right purpose.

A future Atlas environment will distinguish research responsibilities without assuming that membership in WorkBench grants access to studies or participant information.

An independent Convera research environment

Inquiry deserves a place of its own.

Atlas is conceived as a dedicated research platform. WorkBench remains the separate environment for organizational projects, people, and operations.
